The
basic features of Flame Proof motors are developed
and manufactured by our company are mainly
intended for use in Hazardous environments
in Chemical & Petrochemical industries.
The Flame Proof enclosures consist of study
cast iron parts which are mechanically robust
and very liberally designed. The cast iron
enclosure of the motors is built to withstand
any internal explosion.
The gaps of the joint and where the shaft
passes through the flame are so dimensioned
as to prevent transmission of igniting flame
to the surrounding atmosphere.The motors are
so designed that the flame temperature will
remain below the ignition temperature of the
gas-air mixture involved.
The series motors, are of remarkable features
such as compact construction, lightweight,
attractive, appearance, safe & reliable
operation life, excellent performance and
easy maintenance.
For the series motors, the output rating and
mounting dimensions conform to the specifications
of IEC Standard.This series motor are designed
and manufacturing into Flame Proof type and
the Flame Proof property conforms to Indian
Standards IS : 2148 and are also inline with
the requirements of Flame Proof Enclosure.
These motors can be manufactured for special
environments,such as outdoor location(IP55
Type) indoor tropical humidity , outdoor tropical
humidity, indoor tropical arid , outdoor tropical
arid, indoor tropical , outdoor tropical and
outdoor middle class chemical corrosion locations.
Construction Features:
- The flame Proof construction for Exd,
- The degree of protection is IP 55 for
motor main enclosures.
- The stator windings are of Class F
insulation and ensures a large margin
of safety in temperature rise and long
service life.
- A cylindrical shaft extension is equipped
on motors , which can be driven by coupling
or spur gearing
- The stator winding are wound with polyester
enamel round wire of high strength and
then treated with the progress of vacuum-pressure
impregnation (VPI) to make them solid.
Therefore , The winding insulation is
excellent in electrical and mechanical
properties, moisture resistance and thermal
stability.
- The rotors are of cast- aluminum and
dynamically balanced to make the motor
operate smoothly with small vibration
m and the low noise.
- The stator and rotor cores are laminated
with high class electrical steel sheet
with high permeability and the low loss,
thus make the motors to posses low loss
and high efficiency .
- The motors are fitted with low vibration
and low noise bearings. The bearings are
the with both side seals . The drive end
bearings is per-loaded with special pre-loading
wave washers to restrain efficiently the
vibration and noise produced during working
condition.
- Fans are made of cast iron, and have
low Wind age loss.
